Education: "Every Child Has The Right To Learn"
The lack of trained teachers, inadequate learning materials, makeshift classes and poor sanitation facilities makes learning difficult for any children. (UNICEF/Education)
The learning crisis is the greatest global challenge to preparing children & adolescents for life, work and active citizenship. Children and adolescents are excluded from education for many reasons; Poverty remains one of the most barriers, with children from the poorest households almost five times more likely to be out of primary school from the richest. UNICEF will promote equity and inclusion
What I have found interesting about this article that I have chosen is that how poverty can affect all parts in a child's life. I like how UNICEF uses different resources to reach out and help children and families make a better life for themselves.

Hello Takeisha.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the link to the video. It certainly sounds like progress in an otherwise meek outlook for underserved populations. One of the things that stuck with me is the educational component that is presented to the community members they assist. It is more than just providing, it is educating communities how to move forward, without undermining culture and diversity.
